More than 55 percent of University of Oregon employees have completed the training required by the workplace harassment and discrimination prevention initiative. Several units and departments have reached full completion with every required employee successfully completing the training.
“We are so pleased to see so many employees complete the online training well in advance of the June 30 deadline,” said Kaia Rogers, senior director of programs, services and strategic initiatives. “Employee participation is a critical part of our workplace harassment and discrimination prevention training initiative. We appreciate employees taking action and the support that unit and department leadership have shown over the last few months.”
In its continued effort to reinforce the university’s commitment to providing a work environment free from discrimination and harassment and promoting a respectful workplace, human resources reminds faculty members, officers of administration, classified employees and graduate employees to complete the mandatory web-based workplace harassment and discrimination prevention training available through MyTrack by June 30.
Temporary and student employees are encouraged to complete the training, but they are not required to do so. New employees will take the training as part of their onboarding process. Hourly employees will be paid for the time spent completing the training, and exempt employees can take the training during working hours.
Reminders to those who have not yet completed the mandatory training will be sent in the months ahead. HR will continue to provide completion reports to unit and department leadership to keep them informed about who has and has not taken action.
