The Oregon Senate has confirmed Gov. Kate Brown’s nominee as the newest faculty member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon.
Laura Lee McIntyre, professor of school psychology and head of the Department of Special Education and Clinical Services in the College of Education, will serve on the UO’s governing board, taking faculty member Susan Gary’s place.
“I’m honored to be able to serve the University of Oregon as a trustee and look forward to working collaboratively with the Board and our campus community to achieve our goals,” McIntyre said.
In addition to her role as a faculty member, McIntyre is a board-certified behavior analyst, certified school psychologist and a board-licensed psychologist, with interests in autism, early identification and treatment of young children with or at-risk for developmental and behavior disorders, transition to kindergarten, family well-being and parent-professional partnerships.
McIntyre has been with UO since 2009 and served as a member of the University Senate, 2015-17.
