With winter approaching, it is time to prepare for inclement weather and its effect on university activities. Because the University of Oregon is a residential campus with 24/7 operations, it is rarely closed. In rare circumstances, however, hazardous weather conditions may force cancellation of classes and/or activities for part or all of a day. Human Resources and Safety and Risk Services provide important information about notifications, services, and processes during periods of inclement weather on the HR website.
Supervisors and employees are encouraged review available resources and to make plans now, before the onset of inclement winter weather.
Employees should contact their supervisor or department director if further assistance is needed. Questions regarding personnel matters should be directed to Human Resources at hrinfo@uoregon.edu. Safety concerns should be directed to Safety and Risk Services using the online report form.
