The University of Oregon is hosting a campus event that provides an opportunity for employees to share their workplace and the university environment with their children. This year’s Take Our Children to Work event is Thursday, April 26, in the Erb Memorial Union ballroom.
The UO event creates an experience for participants that connects educational pursuit with occupational opportunity. Participants, along with their accompanying adult, engage in multiple activities led by UO program representatives to explore the university and future opportunities.
The event focuses on a morning session, from 8 a.m. to noon, with everyone participating in the same experience through an organized event. In the afternoon, participants can choose to explore a variety of hands-on opportunities across campus.
“This year’s national theme is ‘Service Force: Agents for Positive Change,’” said Sandee Bybee, HR employee engagement manager and event coordinator. “The kids will engage in fun activities that help them better understand how they can have a positive impact on our future.”
Registration is now open with a deadline of April 20. Registration instructions and an event schedule are available on the Take our Children to Work Day webpage.
