The University of Oregon benefits office, in collaboration with Oregon Public Universities Retirement Plans, is hosting a retirement and lifestyle expo April 10. Vendors and educational seminars will provide retirement planning insights and strategies.
“We are excited to offer this expo in partnership with the UO to get people engaged and involved in retirement planning,” said Gay Lynn Bath, retirement plans management director. “This event has something for everyone, whether they are just starting to save or are within reach of retirement.”
The expo is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Erb Memorial Union’s Crater Lake Room and is open to all university employees. Employees can stop by at a convenient time to meet with vendors, explore retirement options and enter a drawing for prizes. Registration is not required to attend.
A series of educational seminars on specific retirement-related topics will be offered throughout the day. A list of sessions and registration instructions are available on the Retirement Expo webpage.
“The expo is an excellent opportunity to explore retirement options and discover strategies to plan for the future,” said Cindi Peterson, benefits manager. “We hope employees will take this opportunity to become actively involved in their own retirement planning.”
