UO employees can get up to speed on the latest ways to manage risk at the UO’s fifth annual Risk Summit May 16.
For those working in higher education, especially managers and administrative assistants, risks abound, from employee relations to federal compliance to the threat of reputational ruin through a sensitive data hack or an incident involving minors on campus. The Risk Summit shares the tools and techniques to scale and conquer those challenges.
Free to employees, the next Risk Summit is May 16 from 8 a.m.-noon in the Erb Memorial Union ballroom.
Hazard-thwarting presentations include Risk Management 101 to know how to file insurance claims, safely host minors or even allow appropriate drone flights. Other topics cover cybersecurity at a time when massive hacks from overseas are a regular occurrence, tips to stave off employee relations disasters and a blueprint for creating an accident-scarce work environment.
Space is limited; registration is required through MyTrack.
The content is very similar to that from past summits, so people who have attended before can consider themselves prepared already and leave space for new employees and others who haven't heard the secrets yet.
