While the United States government shutdown continues, University of Oregon community members may encounter people in need of additional food resources and other assistance. Should you learn that a student, colleague or community member is struggling, please share the list of food pantries and utility and rent assistance programs available in Eugene, Springfield and Portland.

The Oregon Department of Human Services also provides information about food resources across the state.
The Basic Needs Program in the Office of the Dean of Students connects students with campus and community resources that support their well-being, so they can meet their academic goals. Refer students needing support to the Basic Needs website and encourage them to fill out the Basic Needs Assistance form. The website includes specific information about SNAP benefits. Assistance is also available to students who may have impacts to their VA benefits.
Those who would like to donate financially to support fellow Ducks experiencing food insecurity can use the “Ducks Give: Feed the Flock Pantry Donations” link on the official UO donation site by selecting Miscellaneous, Feed the Flock: The UO Student Food Pantry Fund in the “Designation” section.
