The University of Oregon and United Academics began limited negotiations on June 26. The negotiations will focus on critically important issues to address future financial uncertainties.
Specific topics for discussion include career FTE issued under the last memorandum of understanding between the parties, career employment, the tenure reduction program and a progressive pay reduction plan. For reference, a progressive pay reduction plan was previously proposed by the university in April.
The first session addressed high-level principles with both parties providing their input and thoughts on these important issues.
