Beginning Jan. 1, the University of Oregon will implement a new policy that complies with a new Oregon law, extending sick leave to part-time workers.

According to Nancy Resnick, chief human resources officer, the new law will bring about greater sick leave benefits to many UO employees.

The changes are outlined in a memo from Resnick.
