The Office of Human Resources is continuing its wellness seminar series through winter.
HR is partnering with Cascade Centers, the UO employee assistance provider, to offer several presentations on campus to give employees an opportunity to focus on themselves and their own well-being.
“HR was so pleased with attendance at the summer sessions and received such positive feedback that additional presentations were added to the schedule,” said Jen Mirabile, senior HR programs coordinator. “We are excited to provide more personal wellness education programs on campus in continued support of employees.”
The seminar series focuses on a different aspect of personal well-being each month. The free sessions are open to all benefit-eligible employees. Each session will be broadcast live via a webinar to UO Portland and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston. Here is the series schedule:
- Holiday Stress: Nov. 8, noon-1 p.m. Living Learning Center performance hall.
- Beating the Winter Blues: Jan. 26, noon-1 p.m., Crater Lake North, Erb Memorial Union, Room 146.
- Explore Your Relationship with Money: Feb. 15, noon-1 p.m., Crater Lake North, EMU, Room 146.
- How Optimism Can Improve Your Quality of Life: Mar. 22, noon-1 p.m., Crater Lake North, EMU, Room 146.
More information about each session and registration instructions are available on the Wellness Seminar Series webpage.
Following each seminar, a recording of the presentation will be posted to the HR website. The summer wellness series sessions were also recorded and are currently available on the HR website.
