Eight feet tall and weighing in at a half a ton, the bronze Duck will greet visitors to the Ford Alumni Center and Matthew Knight Arena.

A Jan. 29 gathering in the Many Nations Longhouse at UO aims to collect stories from the campus and community for a ‘cultural narrative.’

The annual swap draws hundreds of people for a chance to pick up some outdoor bargains for the spring and summer recreation seasons.

The weighty, larger-than-life-size sculpture shows the Duck in a classic pose and will be placed near the Ford Alumni Center.

The UO grad may be best known for leading a 1991 protest in which women broke the law by driving themselves.
