With budget sequestration taking effect, Research, Innovation and Graduate Education has launched a new informational website for the University of Oregon community.
"Silent Spaces," an exhibition of photographs by Eugene artist Jon Meyers that capture scenes of the Four Corners area of the United States, opens Wednesday, March 6, at the University of Oregon's Museum of Natural and Cultural History. The exhibition features 30 large-format photographs of Hovenweep National Monument and Chaco Canyon National Park in the Four Corners region of the American Southwest. Four Corners is where the borders of southwestern Colorado, northwestern New Mexico, northeastern Arizona and southeastern Utah come together.
The University of Oregon and the Eugene Sakya Center (Nyen-Gyud Samten Choeling for Tibetan Buddhist Studies) will be welcoming His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, to the University of Oregon campus for a public lecture on Friday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m.
