Soprano and UO faculty member Laura Decher Wayte joins with mixed-media artist Lillian Almeida in ‘Mortal Sphere.’

Students can attend for $10 by showing a valid UO ID card when buying tickets, and UO faculty and staff can get a 10 percent discount.

The small ensemble of vocal soloists will sing Monteverdi’s “Lagrime d’Amante,” a lament on the death of a  singer who died at age 18.

A partnership between the Oregon Bach Festival and the School of Music and Dance, the series kicks off Sunday, Oct. 4.
