Annual anti-harassment and discrimination training launches

The University of Oregon launched an updated version of the Workplace Harassment and Discrimination Prevention training on Oct. 29. Faculty, classified employees, officers of administration and graduate employees will need to complete the training annually to meet federal Title IX and Oregon legislative requirements. Units are encouraged to also have their student employees take the training.

How to take the training

The training is available in MyTrack Learning and takes about one hour to complete. Employees should take the training during paid work hours. Alternate or in-person options will be available for those who do not have a computer workstation.

Training deadline

This year's deadline the training is Jan. 29, 2025. New employees will need to complete it within ninety days of hire. Vice presidents and deans will receive monthly completion reports for their areas.

Training content

The updated training addresses recent changes to Title IX, including expanded reporting requirements for UO employees. It also incorporates the required material from Oregon House Bill 3456 aimed at addressing sexual misconduct at institutions of higher education. Topics include:

  • Your reporting responsibilities as a UO employee and reporting options.
  • Appropriate workplace conduct.
  • What constitutes harassing or discriminatory behavior.
  • Where to get help and support.
