Emotional intelligence in the workplace is the focus of an upcoming wellness seminar presented by Cascade Centers Inc., the university’s employee assistance program provider.
The presentation will explore appropriate ways to express and control emotions in the workplace and the importance of understanding, interpreting and responding to the emotions of others. This workshop will help participants assess their own emotional intelligence and develop interpersonal skills with practical application.
The “Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace” seminar takes place July 17 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 145, Straub Hall.
The seminar is free and open to all faculty members and staff. It will be broadcast live via a webinar to UO Portland and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston.
