For employees looking to break up their routine and grab a cup of Joe in a new location, University of Oregon Dining has a challenge for them.
A Cafés Stamp Rally punch card can be picked up at one of the seven cafés on the Eugene campus. Once each spot on the card has a stamp, it can be redeemed for a free gift or a cup of coffee during winter term.
Besides coffee and tea, the cafés offer pastries, grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, and in some locations, sushi, and other types of drinks.
The coffee café lineup:
- Café Verso in Knight Library.
- Hearth Café in Lawrence Hall.
- Legal Grounds Café in Knight Law.
- Lillis Café in Lillis Hall.
- Elements CaFe in Price Science Commons.
- Education Station Café in HEDCO Education.
- Amy's Corner Café in Tykeson Hall.
UO Dining took over operating the law school locale in 2023.
Each location has its own flavor and vibe. Education Station is right next to a cozy fireplace. Outside at Legal Grounds, law students shoot baskets. Elements plays on the science site with the period table pun of calcium (Ca) and iron (Fe).
Cafés serve Groundwork, an organic coffee roasted in Portland, or Peets, one of the original coffee shops on the West Coast.
The UO Campus Map has a food app layer and has a feature to drop a pin in a location and to get a unique URL to send to a coworker to meet for coffee.
