Find out whether to take action during open enrollment

Benefits-eligible faculty, classified staff and officers of administration need to review their current year insurance plans and determine whether to take action during the Public Employees’ Benefits Board, commonly called PEBB, open enrollment period, Oct. 1 through 31.

Open enrollment is not mandatory this year; however, employees still need to act if they would like to, for example:

  • Make changes to their benefit plans.
  • Enroll (or re-enroll) in a flexible spending account for health care, dependent care or commuting expenses.
  • Enroll in the Health Engagement Model for the first time.

To understand whether to take action during the open enrollment period, review PEBB’s Decision Chart

Come to the University of Oregon Benefits Fair on Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Erb Memorial Union Crater Lake Rooms to learn about PEBB insurance options and other benefits available to UO employees. No registration is required.

The UO Benefits Office and PEBB offer many open enrollment resources in October to help understand their benefit choices and navigate the open enrollment process, including

  • Drop-in help sessions.
  • Interactive online tools and webinars.
  • Written materials.

Questions about benefits or the open enrollment process may be sent to the UO Benefits Office at hrbenefits@uoregon.edu.
