KinderTEK math tool developed at UO to be featured in showcase

Mari Strand Cary, a senior research associate in the UO’s Center on Teaching and Learning, will be featured in the 2020 STEM for All video showcase, funded by the National Science Foundation.

The event will be held online May 5-12.

The presentation, “iPad Math: KinderTEK Meets Learners Where They Are,” presents teacher voices attesting to the early math program’s ease of use, individualized instruction and ability to engage young learners. Iterative classroom-based research over many years was key to the program’s development.

The project was funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute for Education Sciences and Office of Special Education Programs.
