Learn and share knowledge with colleagues at FYI Fridays

FYI Fridays returns for winter and spring with a series of workshops, tours and demonstrations that showcase university programs and projects. University of Oregon employees are invited to attend the sessions or even to propose a session of their own.

Anyone may attend any session, whether it’s directly related to your work or not.

“One of our big goals with FYI Fridays is to create community among UO units,” said Zhaohui Chen, learning and development coordinator in the Office of Human Resources. “We want people to connect with each other and with the information that interests them to get insight about the university as a whole.”

Upcoming FYI Fridays sessions include:

  • Making Handshake Work: Common Issues and How to Fix Them. Feb. 28, 10-11 a.m. and May 2, 11 a.m.-noon.
  • Human Resources Structure and Community at the UO. March 7, 10-10:45 a.m.
