Olympic Trials will affect traffic and parking around campus

Hayward Field at the University of Oregon will be the site of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials – Track & Field from June 21 to 30, bringing thousands of athletes, their families and fans to the region.

To accommodate the logistics of the event, parking lots and streets around the venue will be closed.

Lot 38 at the corner of East 17th Avenue and Agate Street will be the first to close on June 16.

Starting at 8 p.m. on June 17, several streets will close including East 18th Avenue and Agate Street. Several lots that are used by permit holders will be closed from June 18 to July 1. All permit holders may park in lower-priced zones, including C zones and the Millrace Garage. Commuters are encouraged to find alternate transportation methods or consider working from home.

Transportation Services will list updated campus information if and when conditions change while the TrackTown USA website will have primary event details. The Olympic Trials map displays the event footprint including ticketed areas and parking impacts.

Operations will return to normal by July 4.
