The 32nd annual Tools of the Trade Show – which highlights new art and media products, and brings local, national and international vendors to Eugene - will be held Nov. 6 and 7 at the campus Duck Store. The event is free and will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. The Tools of the Trade Show offers opportunities to meet and connect with professional artists and vendors to learn more about their techniques, firsthand experiences and knowledge of art and media products.
Suzanne Bonamici, a U.S. Representative from Oregon’s 1st Congressional District, met with leaders and senior researchers from the University of Oregon College of Education (COE) on Nov. 1 to discuss the impact of federal funding on the college’s far-reaching educational research. Much of its funding is awarded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), the U.S. Department of Education’s research arm.

UO faculty, staff, students and fans have extra incentive to get healthy this month – it will benefit nonprofit organizations in the Willamette Valley. On Oct. 28, PacificSource Health Life Civil War Challenge kicked off its third year of uniting UO and Oregon State fans in a friendly competition to take an active role in healthy living, piggy-backing on one of the nation’s oldest rivalry football games.
