Give Before You Go and Chuck It for Charity are among several programs that help keep useable goods out of landfills.
Six University of Oregon students have received Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships for fall and year-long study abroad, earning them up to $5,000 to help cover the cost of studying, researching or interning in another country.The six UO recipients are among a total of 1,100 American undergraduate students across the nation selected to receive the prestigious scholarship.  The program aims to diversify the students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go.
Ben Blue will attend an international conference devoted to research using the C. elegans nematode.
Work by students in journalism, architecture and product design will be among the pieces on display.
The annual Senior Send-Off will give the Class of 2015 a chance to hoist a frothy pint with friends before graduation.
