The UO Chamber Choir took second place in the Marktoberfest International Chamber Choir Competition following two days of performance.The choir also was recognized for the best interpretation of a compulsory work performed by all participants in the competition, “Ergebung,” a German-language piece by Hugo Wolf. UO singers topped two German choirs for the honor.Also, judges ranked the UO among 15 choirs at Achievement Level 1, which is given for excellent performance at the international level.
A panel discussion will include faculty, advocates and officials from Eugene and Portland.
The 17th annual fun run and walk will start and finish on the student rec center activity fields.
