For thousands of UO students, an on-campus job is the solution. With no commute time, flexible hours, and supervisors committed to student growth, working for the university is the perfect fit. More Than a Paycheck
On a national scale, holding a part-time job during college is associated with big benefits. The National Survey for Student Engagement found students who worked 10–12 hours a week averaged a 3.13 GPA, compared to the overall 3.04 average. And the UO’s Next Destination survey of graduating Ducks found those who worked more than five hours a week on campus were 1.8 times more likely to have a job after graduation.

University Career Center: Not Just for Seniors
With Fall Career Week coming up, the University Career Center is ramping up their programming to help students prepare for life after college. From practice interviews with real employers to résumé polishing and job search coaching, there are dozens of events and resources for students hoping to get a head start on their careers.
