UO employees looking to sharpen their skills or pick up some new ones over the summer are invited to check out the list of professional development opportunities offered through the Office of Human Resources.Highlighted courses were recently shared in an email from Pam Farmer, director of professional development.
Construction is underway on the 150 Columbia lecture hall renovation project, which will bring the 55-year-old space up to modern standards.Fencing has been placed around the exterior of the building and so far asbestos-containing materials have been removed and audiovisual equipment is being salvaged, according to project manager Gene Mowery. The lecture hall will undergo a complete interior renovation, which will include a new seating design and the replacement of the audiovisual system.
Both the Jordan Schnitzer Musuem of Art and the Museum of Natural and Cultural History are taking part in the program.
Wagoner will be the first woman to lead the highly regarded center, the first program of its kind at a U.S. business school.
