UO professor receives national design award
UO professor Mark Gillem received a national-level design award for his work at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Gilem and his firm, The Urban Collaborative, were recognized by the American Planning Association. In addition, Gillem received an award from the Historic Hawaii Foundation for his work on the Pearl Harbor-Hickam base in Honolulu that now serves as a model for the U.S. Navy.
Professor Michael Posner named British Academy fellow
UO psychology professor emeritus Michael Posner recently was named a corresponding fellow by the British Academy.
The academy elected 42 academic experts in social sciences and the humanities within the United Kingdom and selected 15 corresponding fellows from universities around the world. Fellows are elected based on scholarly publication of their academic research in fields such as, psychology, history, economics and linguistics.
