The faculty, graduate, undergraduates and non-faculty staff members of the Board of Trustees at the University of Oregon will hold their first-ever joint office hours event in advance of the board’s March 16-17 quarterly meeting. The event will include two sessions, one during business hours and one after, both Tuesday, March 3, at the Erb Memorial Union Crater Lake Rooms, open to all university students and employees:
- Session 1: from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Session 2: from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The following campus trustees will each host a table and welcome campus community members to drop in at any point during either session:
- Cy Abbott, MS ’22 (geography), graduate student trustee, is a PhD student researching political border delineation and is serving the second year of his term.
- Taliek Lopez-DuBoff, undergraduate student trustee, is a third-year student studying planning, public policy and management and joined the board October 2025.
- David Mitrovčan Morgan, undergraduate student trustee, is a senior studying data science and economics serving in the second year of his term.
- Lillian Moses, non-faculty staff trustee, is the director of housing capital construction within University Housing and joined the board in July 2022.
- Gerard F. Sandoval, PhD, faculty trustee, is a professor of planning, public policy and management and joined the board in October 2025.
Each term, the trustees hold individual office hours with respective campus constituents and this term they are trying something new, offering a chance to both chat with specific campus group’s trustee and meet the other campus trustees on the board.
The board has upcoming vacancies for the undergraduate student, graduate student and non-faculty staff member positions with terms anticipated to begin July 1. The deadline to apply to the Office of the Governor for these board seats is March 30. Trustees are happy to discuss these upcoming vacancies and what it is like serving on the board with anyone who is interested.
RSVPs are encouraged for those who plan to attend but are not required. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. For those interested but unable to attend the event or preferring to meet individually, please feel free to reach out via the contact information below or email the board’s office at any time at trustees@uoregon.edu.
