The annual graduate school rankings are out from U.S. News & World Reports, and the University of Oregon College of Education continues to be a standout in multiple ways.

The publication again places the college’s special education program as third in the nation, with the college itself ranking 13th overall and fifth among public institutions.

“These rankings are a testament to the incredible work of our faculty and staff,” said Randy Kamphaus, dean of the college. “They also demonstrate the high quality of the professional education, research and development, and service to schools and the public that we provide.”

U.S. News & World Reports weights a number of metrics in determining the rankings, including peer assessment, expert assessment, external research funding, admission rates and more. The college rose to 13 from 14 overall and remained in the top five among public unitversities for the second year in a row.

“While we are pleased to be recognized for our field-leading special education program and other contributions, we are always trying to do even better,” Kamphaus added.
