East side of Eugene campus will be congested June 8-15

The east side of the University of Oregon Eugene campus will be a hive of activity June 8-15 with students moving out of residence halls and track and field fans filling Hayward Field. Roads will be congested and parking limited.

Students move out starting June 8, during the week of finals leading up to commencement June 15.

As residence halls empty, cars with students, families and friends will block bicycle lanes on Agate Street, East 13th, 15th and 17th avenues. Columbia Street is closed south of 17th Avenue.

The 2026 NCAA outdoor track and field championships come to Hayward Field June 10-13. Parking will be reserved for officials along Agate Street and East 18th Avenue. Lot 43 next to the Knight Law Center is closed for pavement replacement.

During this busy period for the east side of the Eugene campus, employees are encouraged to explore alternative transportation options
