Members of the Board of Trustees at the University of Oregon will hold office hours on the Eugene campus this term. All university employees and students are invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to get to know your trustees and share your thoughts on key issues at the UO.
The free event takes place Friday, Oct. 30, at James Commons in 151 Tykeson Hall, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The following trustees will each host a table and welcome campus community members to drop in:
- Elisa deCastro Hornecker, BA ’82, at-large trustee, is a life-long Oregonian and currently chairs the board’s Academic and Student Affairs Committee.
- Steve Holwerda, MBA ’91, at-large trustee, is a principal owner for Ferguson Wellman Capital Management, has deep ties to the UO and serves as chair of the board of trustees.
- Taliek Lopez-DuBoff, undergraduate student trustee, is a fourth-year student studying planning, public policy and management and joined the board in October 2025.
- Cameron Mulder, non-faculty staff trustee, is a statistical consultant with UO Libraries and joined the board in July 2026.
- Nate Pratt, undergraduate student trustee, studies planning, public policy and nonprofit management and comparative literature and joined the board in July 2026.
- Gerard F. Sandoval, PhD, faculty trustee, is a professor of planning, public policy and management and joined the board in October 2025.
- Mohammed Shakibnia, graduate student trustee, is a PhD student and graduate employee in political science and joined the board in July 2026.
- Andy Storment, BS ’84, at-large trustee, is a sixth-generation Oregonian and currently chairs the board’s Finance and Facilities Committee.
- Jenny Ulum, MA ’83, at-large trustee, is a graduate of North Bend High School and longtime public relations and public affairs executive.
RSVPs are encouraged for those who plan to attend but are not required. Folks are invited to drop in at any point during the session; light refreshments will be provided.
