ESPN College GameDay returns to the Memorial Quad Saturday

The University of Oregon will host College GameDay for the second time this season, Saturday, Nov. 22. ESPN has leased the Memorial Quad on the Eugene campus for its filming location.

Setup begins Wednesday, Nov. 18. Activity will be noticeable on the Memorial Quad and the surrounding areas as the equipment is unloaded and the television set is assembled. Operational departments are engaged in planning. Employees working and students attending classes in Eugene are advised to plan their routes across campus accordingly. Updates may be found on GoDucks.com.

College GameDay at the UO will be filmed from 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday morning. It is free to attend, and participants are asked to adhere to signage and directions from representatives at the event.

The Emmy-winning broadcast is an opportunity to showcase the university’s excellence and share the UO brand nationwide as the Ducks host the University of Southern California Trojans in a top 25, Big Ten showdown. The football game begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Autzen Stadium. Fans are encouraged to wear black.

The set will be dismantled and removed immediately following the conclusion of the show. The Memorial Quad and surrounding area are expected to return to normal by Monday.
