The exhibit “America at 250 — Before, Between, Beyond” invites visitors to the Museum of Natural and Cultural History to reflect on where we have been as a country, who we are and what we might yet become.
Admission is always free for university employees (bring your UO ID). On Friday, July 3, and the first Friday of every month, you can bring your family and friends for free, too.
“America at 250” features rarely seen items from the museum’s collection. The museum also features exhibits and displays on Oregon’s fossils and ecosystems and the state’s cultural history, from the First Americans at Paisley Caves to the dynamic cultures of today’s tribes.
Visitors this Friday can learn about museum attractions with a 2 p.m. Walk and Talk conducted by an expert. Topics range from the geology of the Cascades to Oregon’s dynamic cultural heritage. Museum hours: Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursdays until 8 p.m.
