Two forms of support for graduate students are being offered by the Oregon Humanities Center, in collaboration with the Graduate School and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Students working on dissertations or research work in the humanities are invited to apply for a graduate dissertations fellowship or a graduate research support fellowship.
Dissertation fellowships provide students with one term free from teaching to work full time on their dissertations. Fellowships provide a $5,500 stipend, one-term tuition waiver and health insurance, and when space is available, an office in the humanities center.
Graduate research support fellowships offer additional resources to assist with both doctoral thesis and the dissertation completion. Up to $1,000 in funding can be used for conference travel, research library fees, archive fees or other materials. Fellows will also be invited to center work-in-progress talks and provided with office space in the humanities center, as available.
Applicants must be researching within the field of humanities and may be enrolled in any department, school or college.
Applications are due by Feb. 5. Information is available on the Oregon Humanities Center website.
