Employees are invited to learn about the University of Oregon’s retirement program options at a retirement expo on April 23. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Erb Memorial Union Crater Lake North and South (rooms 145 and 146). The expo's theme is “Get Your Ducks in a Row for Retirement.” No registration is required.
Representatives from the Public Employees Retirement System, known as PERS, PERS Health Insurance, TIAA, Fidelity, Oregon Savings Growth Plan and the university’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will present scheduled information sessions and are available to answer questions throughout the event.
“We chose the theme ‘Get Your Ducks in a Row’ because it felt like a lighthearted way to get the point across that retirement has a lot of steps,” said Juniper Thompson, benefits coordinator in the Office of Human Resources. “But if you plan ahead and take it one step at a time, the process can be very simple.”
