Human resources to launch new wellness seminars in January

The University of Oregon Office of Human Resources will launch two new wellness seminars series in January: Preparing Your College-Bound Student and Healthy Eating.

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Office of Admissions and other university departments will lead seminars to prepare high school-age children for college. Each seminar will focus on a different aspect of the college application process. A seminar focusing on how parents can help a young adult transition from home to college will also be offered.

The healthy eating seminar series features a university sports dietician and the assistant director of culinary operations who will discuss the importance of nutrition. The seminars will offer ideas and suggestions to consider on the journey to healthy eating.

All seminars are free to benefit-eligible employees. Employees can attend as many of the presentations as they choose and do not have to attend all presentations in the series to participate.

Each session will have a live broadcast via webinar to UO Portland and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston.
