Online learning tools support professional development

Looking for a flexible way to build your skills, explore a professional interest or complete UO-specific training? As a University of Oregon employee, you have access to several online learning resources that can support development on your own schedule.

LinkedIn Learning offers self-paced video courses on a wide range of topics, including communication, supervision, project management, productivity, software tools, data, accessibility and more. It’s a useful option when you want a quick refresher, a practical how-to or a deeper dive into a specific skill. It even has language learning courses!

Academic Impressions focuses on professional development for higher education. Its courses and resources are designed for people who work in colleges and universities, with topics such as leadership, workplace culture, student success, academic administration and communication.

MyTrack Learning is UO’s internal learning system. Employees use MyTrack to access UO-specific courses (virtual as well as in person) and required trainings. Supervisors can also use it to support onboarding, development conversations and training follow-up.

Not sure where to start? Choose the tool that fits your goal: LinkedIn Learning for broad skill-building, Academic Impressions for higher education-focused learning and MyTrack for required or UO-specific training.
