In a fall term welcome message to University of Oregon employees Oct. 2, Mark Schmelz, vice president and chief human resources officer, emphasized the importance of community and collaboration in navigating the academic year ahead. Schmelz highlighted new and continuing programs designed to foster cohesion, including the UO Peer Coaching Program, FYI Fridays and new resources for supervisors.
Schmelz’s message also shared the university’s Respectful Workplace Notice. You are encouraged to review the notice, which serves as an annual reminder to employees and supervisors of expectations to create a respectful working and learning environment.
