The UO’s version of Boxing Day — known as Unpack the Quack — is fast approaching, and volunteers are needed to help it go smoothly.
More than 4,000 students are expected to move into campus residence halls on Thursday, Sept. 22. That adds up to an awful lot of boxes moving from cars to rooms and a lot of chances to show how welcoming the UO can be.
Volunteers have made the last six years of Unpack the Quack a huge success, offering a friendly hand to new students and their families. Faculty, staff, alumni and students are all invited to serve as campus ambassadors during this year’s move-in day.
