Who compiles and approves all the course packets?

Who Does That?

Taking stacks of professor’s papers, third-generation PDF photocopies, chapters from books and turning them into a concise, clean course packet is the artistry Kati Kronholm performs each term.

Kronholm is the copyright specialist in the copyright clearance office in University of Oregon Print Services.

She works with instructor bibliographies and connects with UO Libraries and a copyright clearance database to get approval or determine if the work is in the public domain or is fair use. If permission can’t be obtained, she can help find a substitute.

Even in the digital age, having a physical copy of a scholarly excerpt, lecture outline or scientific formula can make class discussions more productive.

Next time a course packet is requested, purchased or read, remember Kati Kronholm did that.
