Biography:

Allison A. Schmitt is an academic expert in artificial intelligence, health law and intellectual property, with a focus on how law and regulation shape emerging technologies. Her research examines innovation and commercialization in AI, health care and the life sciences, including the role of patents, copyright and trade secrets. With a background in both law and chemistry, she studies the intersection of science, technology and legal policy. Her work provides insight into how legal and regulatory frameworks can influence the development, use and commercialization of new technologies.
