Biography:
Ashley Linden-Carmichael is an academic expert in alcohol and cannabis use among young adults, with a focus on understanding risk and protective factors that shape substance use behaviors. Her research examines psychosocial influences such as motivations, impulsivity, belonging and mental health, as well as situational factors like peer dynamics and context. Using intensive, real-time data collection methods, she studies how substance use unfolds in daily life. Her work aims to inform more effective, personalized prevention and intervention strategies that can be delivered at moments of highest risk.
