Biography:
Byron Villacis is an academic expert in public statistics, population census, metrics of corruption and anti-corruption policies. As a social scientist, he’s interested in quantification, public statistics, and anti-corruption. He has a background in economics, sociology, and demography. Byron has professional experience in public and private leadership positions. He was the head of the National Institute of Statistics of Ecuador, where he led censuses and official surveys. Additionally, he serves as a consultant for the United Nations on topics related to official statistics and corruption metrics.
