Biography:
Chanel Meyers is an academic expert in stereotyping, prejudice, implicit bias, diversity, social norms, race relations, discrimination and microaggressions. Her research examines how contexts and social norms influence cognition, behaviors, and social interactions, with a focus on racial diversity, race-related norms, and social perception. This work highlights the experiences of underrepresented racial groups in psychology and builds theories within intergroup relations that are inclusive of these growing populations.
Chanel can talk about implicit bias training, discrimination and microaggressions, growing diversity in the country and its impact on a variety of outcomes, stereotypes and prejudice towards stigmatized groups.
