Biography:
Deanna Unruh is a leading expert on improving outcomes for youth with disabilities as they transition from school to postsecondary education, training and the workforce. Her research focuses particularly on justice-involved youth and the development of evidence-based practices that support successful reentry and long-term stability. In addition to designing and testing effective interventions, she works to ensure that schools, corrections systems and community agencies embed evidence-based programming into their daily operations and collaborate in coordinated, accountable ways. Her work bridges research and implementation to strengthen systems that serve vulnerable youth.
