Biography:

Isabel García Valdivia is an academic expert in migration (including Latinx immigration), race and ethnicity, social stratification, and the sociology of the life course. Her research focuses on how the experiences of immigrants change across the life course according to their immigration status, and how immigration impacts families, as well as the educational trajectories and postgraduate career plans of immigrant graduate students. She is currently working on a manuscript on the late adulthood experiences of immigrants.
