Biography:
Sara Keller is an academic expert in therapeutic and diagnostic ultrasound, using sound waves to develop precise, noninvasive medical treatments. Her research focuses on directing ultrasound to targeted locations in the body to achieve therapeutic effects, including clearing infections, mapping tumor environments, delivering drugs and stimulating immune responses. By integrating biological experiments, advanced imaging and computational modeling, her lab studies how mechanical forces from sound interact with cells and tissues. This work enables the design of safe, adaptable ultrasound-based technologies for a wide range of biomedical applications.
