Susanna Soojung Lim is an academic expert in Russian literature and culture of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in the context of Russia's relationship to Asia. She also studies transnational and cross-cultural issues linking Russia and modern Korean literature. In addition to teaching classes on modern Korean culture and K-pop phenomena, she has recently begun to work as a translator of Korean literature into English.
