A tentative contract agreement has been reached between Oregon’s public universities — including University of Oregon — and  the Service Employees International Union.The following release was issued by the University Shared Services Enterprise, which negotiated with SEIU on behalf of the state’s seven public universities:  
Three academic buildings and two sports facilities are on the list of construction projects reviewed by the Finance and Facilities Committee. 
UO employees will be able to make their health insurance elections beginning Oct. 1 and must complete enrollment by Oct. 31.
Trustees also will look at an updated budget for the current year, review three capital projects and hear two academic presentations.
If approved, the project would add flexibility to to seat up to 30,000 and would improve training and academic facilities at the storied field.
