Beginning Jan. 1, the University of Oregon will implement a new policy that complies with a new Oregon law, extending sick leave to part-time workers.According to Nancy Resnick, chief human resources officer, the new law will bring about greater sick leave benefits to many UO employees.The changes are outlined in a memo from Resnick. 
Campus rarely closes due to weather, but when it does alerts are sent by text and email and posted on the Web.
So far, UO employees have donated $137,737 of the overall university employee donations of $225,840.
Smartphone application allows people to download and use coupons from local merchants without having to use paper.
The changes to pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the building will remain in place through winter term.
