At his first meeting of the President's Diversity Advisory Community Council, Schill voiced the importance of equity and inclusion.

Increasing tenure-track faculty, improving access and affordability and providing a world-class educational experience are his top goals.

The new 14-member Sexual Assault Advisory Council will help guide and evaluate the university’s sexual violence prevention plan.

The sessions offer help on how to prepare for retirement, when to file PERS appliations and where to find resources to help smooth the process.

The September board meeting included budget, tuition and construction discussions, a meeting with the governor and comments by the president.

A tentative contract agreement has been reached between Oregon’s public universities — including University of Oregon — and  the Service Employees International Union.
